OH NO!!!!!!
If the Houston Astros come back from an 0-2 deficit to win the 2019 World Series, they’ll only have themselves to blame after many from the team’s staff were spotted practicing the trophy presentation at Nationals Park prior to Game 3.
A photo from the Twitter account of New York Time reporter James Wagner shows dozens of members from the Nats organization preparing the stage in hopes of seeing their team hoist the Commissioner’s Trophy within the next three games.
With the 2-3-2 series structure and the Nationals holding a 2-0 lead, it should be noted that the only way Nationals Park will be hosting a trophy ceremony is if the Nats can win two of the next three games at their home ballpark.
And while many will say that this is typical procedure and the staff needs to make sure they are prepared just in case, it’s still not a great look for a team that is desperately trying to get over that final hump and win their first ever World Series title.
