Cody Bellinger is to be married soon as he’s gotten engaged to his Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model GF.
Should things remain on track, the Chicago Cubs outfielder will marry Chase Carter, with the model announcing the first baseman popped the question by showing her ring off in an Instagram post.
The post contains three photos, one of which shows her sitting on the ground against the backdrop of the Chicago skyline. The other shows her holding her hand out in a close-up snap, while the third shows her kissing Bellinger on the cheek.
Cody and Chase have been an item for several years and have a young daughter, Caiden Carter, who was born in 2021.
Bellinger is playing out his debut season with the Cubs after spending six years with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is batting .260 with seven home runs, 22 RBIs, and a .774 OPS this season.
The Rookie of the Year in 2017 and NL MVP in 2019, Bellinger is on a one-year contract with Chicago worth $17.5 million, and there are rumors he could be dealt ahead of the MLB trade deadline.
