The New York Yankees offense just got a whole lot more dangerous.
According to Jeff Passan, the Yankees are finalizing a deal to acquire outfielder Joey Gallo from the Texas Rangers.
Joey Gallo led the Rangers with a .490 slugging percentage, including 32 extra-base hits and 25 home runs.
At 52-47, New York is nine games behind the Boston Red Sox in the American League East and in third place behind the Sox and Tampa Bay Rays.
