Ronny Garcia played three seasons with the Dominican Summer League affiliates before heading to the U.S. in 2021, posting an ERA of 2.11 between the Florida Complex League and Class-A Fayetteville that year.
The relief pitcher returned to both teams in 2022, extending his success, allowing just one run in 18.1 innings.
He posted an ERA of 3.42 over a 122-game span and 186.2 innings pitched, allowing 170 hits, 71 earned runs, eight home runs, and 100 walks. He struck out 200 batters.
This February, Ronny Garcia joined Pennsylvania’s minor league team, the York Revolution.
“He’ll be a young bullpen arm for us,” manager Rick Forney told ABC27 after he signed. “I’m excited about him. He has really good career numbers. He’s an intriguing young pitcher. I’m hoping I can get him to be more than just a one-inning guy, maybe a bridge-type guy in the sixth or seventh inning. I’m excited to get my eyes on him.”
