The Coronavirus continues to take its toll on the United States as we became the nation with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19.
On Saturday, former Major League Baseball standout Jim Edmonds took to Instagram to share that he had been hospitalized and was currently being tested for the coronavirus.
Edmonds posted an Instagram story with a photo of himself in the hospital, complete with a mask covering his nose and mouth.
“Held off as long as I could,” Edmonds wrote. “I thought I was tough enough to get through. This virus is no joke.”
“Waiting on tests now,” he continued. “PS — I didn’t know the swab could go that far in someone’s nose.”
“No confirmation on the virus yet. Just waiting to find out if I’ve been infected or just super sick,” he wrote. “Not taking any chances because it is so hard to get tested by the rules of the CDC.”
