The New York Yankees have been one of the most active teams this offseason. The Bronx Bombers have acquired several top players, including free agents. Yet, they have missed out on a big prize, Juan Soto.
The Yanks might not have signed Soto, but they put good use to their money. The franchise bolstered their pitching but added Devin Williams and Max Fried, two top pitchers in the league. Furthermore, they acquired Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt for their offensive and defensive game.
It’s safe to say that the Yanks are one of the top playoff teams after building an elite squad. MLB sportscaster Chris Rose says the Yanks are better than any team in the American League.
“The rest of the American League teams that were competitive with them. In my opinion, have fallen back. Other teams like Boston have moved up a little. The Athletics have gotten better. I think the Texas Rangers have gotten better. Toronto Blue Jays have gotten better but not enough to jump over the New York Yankees. The Yankees are better than any team in the American League now,” Rose said.
Yankees Owner Hal Steinbrenner Thinks Cody Bellinger And Paul Goldschmidt Will Make Up For Juan Soto
Hal Steinbrenner recently shared his thoughts on missing Juan Soto. Steinbrenner says he wasn’t surprised by Soto’s decision but didn’t know what to expect. He further noted that he was disappointed, but the team has been better after spreading Soto’s money around.
“I think the starting rotation is better, our defense is better and I think Bellinger and Goldschmidt, I think they’re going to make up for a good deal of Juan’s offensive bat,” Steinbrenner said.

Steinbrenner feels his team has a strong balance even after missing out on Soto. He may believe the Yankees are better off without Soto, especially since they brought in several other stars. The Yanks are all set to be a strong playoff contender in 2025. MLB trade rumors continue in full swing, and World Series pitcher Jack Flaherty is expected to find a home in Los Angeles.
