You just love to see it.
Former Boston Red Sox and New York Mets player Frank Viola has put himself in the history books as the first person to ever be ejected from a game because he disliked a call that came from a robot umpire.
The pitching coach of the Atlantic League’s High Point Rockers first received a warning, and then got tossed as he ran out on the field and argued with the human umpire about the robot umpire. That is a real sentence right there….
The trackman is going to be an adjustment for everybody going forward. It should be noted that human umps have the power to overrule the robut umps if it misses a call.
