However, an AL West team has emerged as a top target amid the Tigers’ interest. This might come as a shock to many, but the Los Angeles Angels are now a favorite to pursue Santander.

As for the Tigers, they will only look towards Santander as a backup plan when they fail to sign Bregman. The Angels had one of the worst seasons last year. With Mike Trout returning to the lineup in 2025, they still need some support at the plate.

Adding Santander will boost the team’s offense. Trout will also have a strong player beside him since Anthony Rendon seems to be lagging. If they want to get close to the playoffs, they need more players like Anthony Santander.
Santander will also fit the bill, making him a perfect candidate for the team’s payroll in 2025. The Orioles star is predicted to land a deal close to $80 million for four years. As of now, Bregman’s market is heated up as teams look to add the two-time World Series slugger.
