New York Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez had one of the most excellent baseball careers of all time. Arod was an outstanding slugger who wore the Yankees uniform. His remarkable performance is remembered even today. However, due to a hiccup in his career, Rodriguez has slipped away from making it into Cooperstown.
Rodriguez was once believed to be a first-ballot Hall Of Famer. Yet, he received only 146 out of 394 votes in 2025. Many were surprised by this outcome, especially after Arod’s outstanding contribution. Rodriguez received 37.1 percent of the votes, slightly better than his previous year, which was 34 percent.
The biggest challenge is that Alex Rodriguez must reach a minimum of 75 percent of the votes on the ballot in the next six years. He will be removed from the ballot if he drops below five percent. While that seems impossible, reaching 75 percent is pretty challenging.
The only reason he didn’t make it is that he was associated with PEDs. Arod was undoubtedly one of the best players in the league. He smashed 696 home runs and recorded 3,115 hits. After posing incredible numbers, the 14-time All-Star and three-time AL MVP has nothing to prove.
The only downfall in his career was when the MLB banned him in 2014 due to the possession of PEDs. His association with PEDs has cast a long shadow over his Hall of Fame chances.

The Yankees legend further shared images of Sabathia and him in the dugout and on the field. He congratulated Sabathia, saying he was one of the best teammates ever. For Suzuki, he wrote: “Congratulations to Ichiro Suzuki on being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame! Without a doubt one of the greatest pure hitters I’ve ever seen.”

There is still time for Alex Rodriguez; hopefully, he will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame someday. If it wasn’t for his PEDs, Arod might have joined his teammates. MLB trade rumors continue as Anthony Rizzo has garnered interest from a Yankees rival.
