It’s a New Year for baseball, and Alex Bregman is still a free agent. It’s the same with Pete Alonso, Clayton Kershaw, and many other sluggers. Yet, the market is hot for such players, and Bregman is expected to head over to the AL East to reach his final destination.
This might be Bregman’s last team in his career after the Houston Astros. Or, he might play for one more. It all depends on the deal. The Yankees were in on Bregman, and so were the Blue Jays. A few AL East teams have expressed their interest, but the Boston Red Sox might be his final landing spot for various reasons.
Several reports point out that the Red Sox are the favorite to sign Bregman. It’s possible for Boston to bring him to Fenway Park if they give him what he wants. Bregman will not wait for long if he gets the right deal.
According to MLB insider Mark Feinsand, the Red Sox are the most logical team for the All-Star slugger.
“The most logical team for Bregman at this point is the Red Sox, who have addressed their rotation concerns with the signing of Buehler and the trade for Garrett Crochet, but Boston has come up short in its pursuit of an impact bat,” Feinsand wrote via MLB.com.
Walker Buehler Looks To Lure Alex Bregman To Boston
Walker Buehler had just signed up with the Red Sox and was already trying to recruit Bregman. Buehler and Bregman have been friends for a long time, and Buehler wants to have Bregman on the team.

“I have certainly made a pitch all over the place for him to come to Boston. He and I have been buddies for a long time. We played on Team USA together a little bit in college,” Buehler said via Clutch Points.
The Red Sox need some offensive help, and Alex Bregman can be the perfect fit. It’s time for Boston to make the playoffs this year, but without a strong bat, it’s going to be a challenge. Bregman will also be a strong fit alongside Rafael Devers.
MLB trade rumors are also swirling around Max Scherzer after two AL East teams emerged as potential landing spots.
