The Little League Classic recently occurred as the Little League World Series got underway. The game took place at Bowman Field, and tons of young fans from around the world wanted to meet their idols, one of whom may very well be Aaron Judge.
The Yankees superstar has been phenomenal this season, and his through-the-roof numbers prove it. This season, Judge is averaging .311, to go along with 44 home runs and 111 RBIs. The MLB star has also recorded 84 runs in his last 94 games.
While he may be one of the best players in the MLB right now, that hasn’t stopped one Little League coach from calling out the Yankees star for some apparent attitude toward some of the young players during the game on Sunday.
Aaron Judge Ignores A Team At The Little League Classic
South Shore Little League coach Bab Laterza criticized the American League MVP candidate, asking Judge to “turn around or wave to New York and the kids who think you’re a hero!” Adding that they pay his salary.
Laterza continued his tirade aimed at the Yankees’ $40 million man, saying, “They were disappointed. Maybe he’ll want to make up for it and come and see them,” as some of his teammates did.
On the other hand, Judge talked about his experience during the game, calling meeting the kids “the best part.” He also added that he may have had an excuse for the unfortunate timing, adding, “We kind of got rushed around a little bit.”

After this ordeal, we’re guessing that if Judge catches wind of the upset coach, he may make it up to the team and meet them. But we’ll have to wait and see, as the Yankees’ next game is back at home against the Guardians.
