The New York Yankees are imploding at the worst time of the season.
The players, the fans, and Aaron Boone are tired of the losing. After another loss against the Blue Jays Saturday, the Yankees manager slammed a table in frustration and went on a rant while answering another question about his team’s losing skid.
“We got to play better, period,” Boone told reporters. “The great thing is it’s right in front of us. We can fix it. It’s right here.”
Saturday’s loss accounted for the Bombers’ 15th loss in their last 19 games.
The Bombers have only scored 21 runs in the past 11 games.
“If we don’t score, tough to win,” Boone said. “And I’ll answer these same questions, ‘Am I perplexed?’ Yeah, I am. We have to do better.”
