Star actor Adam Sandler wants a certain golf legend in his upcoming movie, ‘Happy Gilmore 2.’
The sequel to the iconic film is probably still a few years away, but it is in the works. Netflix will eventually release it.
Sandler has some big ideas for the movie and wants Tiger Woods in it.
Christopher McDonald, known for playing Shooter McGavin in the first movie, revealed that a sequel was being scripted months ago. Sandler didn’t seem all that pleased with McDonald for offering disclosure but he did confirm he was working on a script, with Netflix announcing it was in the works last week.
There isn’t much information on the movie apart from the fact that it will likely launch at least 30 years after the original film dropped in 1996.
Dan Patrick, who chatted with Sandler on his show over the weekend, may or may not have a role – we’ll see. The actor said he plans to collaborate with Tim Herlihy to beef up the script once he’s done working on the Noah Baumbach film his filming with George Clooney and Laura Dern in Europe.

Adam Sandler Dreams Of Having Tiger Woods In The Movie Sequel
Patrick wondered whether Tiger Woods might make an appearance, but that’s when Sandler’s WiFi connection started playing around.
Still, he managed to let it be known that the veteran golfer would be in the movie as long as he had his way.
“I would love it. We’ll see,” he said. “I’m gonna write all my dreams and then you never know what’s gonna happen.”
Lee Trevino was the only notable professional in the 1996 movie; landing Tiger Woods would be massive for the franchise.
