Jon Rahm could well become the next big name to leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf.
Rumors are flying about this year’s Masters champion jumping to the Saudi-backed league and the number that is being floated around is astronomical.
The signing bonus is rumored on social media to be in the $600 million range.
Rahm has spoken highly of LIV Golf in the past – as questions over his future on the PGA Tour continue to dominate the world of golf.
A report last week from a golf journalist, Alan Shipnuck, on social media claimed Phil Mickelson had been telling people that Rahm would in fact be joining the breakaway league.
Mickelson replied to the claims and denied the words from the reporter. “This isn’t true, and I don’t know anything,” said Mickelson. “I don’t want to know anything, and I haven’t said anything. Alan is the worst liar and a pathetic human.”

Until Rahm comes out and denies it, the rumors will continue to circulate that he may be considering switching to LIV Golf, just like other famous PGA Tour players who were offered huge contracts.
According to the Official World Golf Ranking [OWGR], Rahm is the No. 3 ranked golfer in the world. During the 2022-23 season, Rahm achieved a significant milestone, securing four wins on the PGA Tour for the first time in his career.
