Golf legend Tiger Woods has admitted that he was affected by the assassination attempt on former United States President Donald Trump.
Trump could have easily been mortally wounded while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania this past Saturday. And he was lucky to walk away after a shooter opened fire on him.
Woods, who has a relationship with Trump, said he lost sleep and didn’t prepare for The Open Championship how he would have liked.
“It was a long night [because of the assassination attempt] and that’s all we watched the entire time on the way over. I didn’t sleep at all on the flight, and then we just got on the golf course,” he told BBC Sport.
“I didn’t accomplish a lot [during Sunday’s practice] because I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. It was a long night and that’s all we watched the entire time on the way over here.”
