Ostrom has established herself as an up-and-coming golf social media influencer, but with that success comes potential threats.
Ostrom has shared a chilling experience involving a stalker who showed up at her home, shedding light on the risks of fame and the dangers of online interactions with people from every corner of the country.
In a video posted to her Instagram and TikTok, the 30-year-old explained that she was contacted by a club she frequently plays at, and the club said a man was there asking about her and asking them to contact her to tell her to call him.
Hailey Rae Ostrom said the man was communicating with a fake social media page that did not belong to her. She stated the man sent $50,000 to the person he thought was her.
The Oregon native, who also appeared on Golf Channel’s Shotmakers, stated that the same man would visit her house.

“He left his name, I did not recognize his name, and I basically chalked it up to, this is probably a follower, just let it go,” Ostrom said. “I dropped it and forgot about it until… that man showed up at my house. It was a very scary situation for me and I have never had anything happen like that happen before.”
Ostrom explained that a man had initially appeared at a golf course she regularly frequented looking for her.
She did not reveal the man’s name or the name of the club.
Hailey Rae Ostrom, who has nearly 1 million followers on Instagram and over 586,000 on TikTok, is known for her glamorous golf content.
It’s unfortunate she had to deal with the darker side of her growing fame.
