The sport of golf is already frustrating enough on the easiest of courses. But when tournament officials decide to be a downright jerks with their hole locations, it enough to turn most rounds into a nightmare.
That’s what appeared to happen at the Iowa Girls 3A State Golf Tournament over the weekend, as the average score on the 18th hole at the River Valley Golf Course on Saturday was a quadruple boogey.
Were the golfers just that bad? Not at all. Rather, the hole was cruelly placed on a large hill that essentially allowed the young ladies two options: Putt the ball directly into the hole, or watch it roll all the way off the green.
Seriously, some of these balls in the video miss by an inch or two, and the result is a follow-up shot from the fairway.
The girls clearly weren’t amused by the pin location. And neither was Twitter. Here’s what social media had to say about this disastrous hole:

At least it wasn’t such a bad hole for everyone. Katie Casady’s brother decided to hop on Twitter and inform everyone that his lil’ sis parred the hole “on BOTH days.”
