We may have seen the last of Scottie Scheffler this weekend at the PGA Championship.
Earlier, it was reported that the world’s no. 1 golfer was arrested and placed in the back of a police cruiser after he had a run-in with officers at the Valhalla Golf Club this morning before the second round of the PGA Championship.
Since then, Scheffler has been booked into the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections, according to Golf Digest. A police report has also been released, revealing the charges that the reigning Masters champion is currently facing.
Among them is second-degree assault of a police officer, which is considered a felony. He is also being charged with 3rd-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding signals from officers directing traffic.
Scheffler’s mugshot has also been released to the public.

A Wild Scene Outside Valhalla Prior To Scottie Scheffler’s Second Round
According to reports, Scheffler was arriving at the Valhalla Golf Club this morning prior to the start of his second round at the PGA Championship when he attempted to go around a bunch of police vehicles that he believed were security.
At one point, a police officer tried to get him to stop by “attaching himself” to Scheffler’s vehicle as it drove for 10 more yards. The Scheffler finally stopped the vehicle, the officer grabbed him from the car and placed him in handcuffs before taking him away in a cruiser.
ESPN’s Jeff Darlington noted that the officers initially didn’t know that they were arresting the world’s number one golfer at the time.
