The Rory McIlroy rumors can now be put to rest, as it appears he is returning home to his wife.
The golf superstar, who previously filed for divorce from his wife, Erica Stoll, last month, has reportedly filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in Palm Beach, Florida, this week. This will effectively end the divorce plans just before the start of the U.S. Open.
The Guardian contacted Rory McIlroy and revealed that the two have resolved their differences and “look forward to a new beginning.”
“There have been rumors about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumor is a fool’s game.
“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”
The PGA Tour star has been married to his wife, Erica Stoll, for seven years, and it appears there will be many more years to go with the most recent decision. At the time of the divorce, McIlroy reportedly had a private investigator serve Stll with the divorce papers.
On the eve of the PGA Championship, McIlroy submitted documents in Florida. In them, he described their marriage as “irretrievably broken.” Clearly, the two of them finally had a sit-down conversation that ultimately fixed their family.

Dating Rumors Emerged Between Rory McIlroy And Amanda Balionis
Dating rumors had previously swirled that PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy and CBS Sports golf reporter Amanda Balionis were dating.
Balionis, who is married to former NFL quarterback Brynn Renner, has been spotted without her wedding ring at several tournaments. Many fans also took notice of her interviews with McIlroy, as opposed to other golfers.
Balionis, in the meantime, has yet to address her relationship status with her estranged husband. It should be noted that she changed her name on social media, going from Amanda Balionis Renner to Amanda Balionis.
