Golf legend John Daly has revealed having lost everything due to residential damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
Inclement weather battered the Gulf Coast region of Florida this week, with Daly among the many whose property sustained devastation.
The golfer posted to social media before the hurricane reached the Big Bend area, where he lives with his family, pointing to his house and telling residents to be safe.
The weather pattern drifted inland on Thursday night, sweeping through the region around 11 PM at a threatening 140 MPH.
He returned to social media on Friday, furnishing his Facebook followers with an update in which he revealed that he and his family were safe but had experienced “total loss” he was yet to wrap his head around.
“For everyone that has reached out, my family are all safe, but all our homes are not as water is pouring out of every crevice,” he wrote, per Sports Illustrated. “Total loss and devastation after living here all my life! I still cannot imagine ALL we have lost, but we are SAFE and all can be replaced! Praise God!”
