Golf legend and two-time major winner John Daly revealed in an Instagram post that he’s in the hospital after receiving emergency hand surgery.
In his Instagram story, John Daly revealed that he’s at a hospital in Tampa Bay, Florida after requiring hand surgery. Daly thanked the doctor for looking after him and promised to be back on the greens in no time:

Daly didn’t reveal what caused the health-related issue to his hand and why it required surgery. But he has stayed active on Instagram during his recovery in the hospital, posting several more stories that included a reference to the time where former NFL head coach Jon Gruden served as his caddy.

The 58-year-old has battled several health issues throughout his life, including an addiction to alcohol. Daly has sought rehab treatment for the addiction and has relapsed multiple times.
In September 2020, news emerged that John Daly underwent surgery to have cancer removed from his bladder.
Daly remains active on both the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour Champions, open only to male golfers 50 and older. “Long John” turned professional in 1991 and became a member of the PGA tour in 1991.

John Daly Has 2 Golf Majors To His Name
John Daly won his first major at the 1991 PGA Championship when he was just 25 years of age. The event was hosted at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana, with Daly posting an impressive score of −12 to claim the title.
Four years later, Daly was victorious at the 1995 Open Championship that was held at the Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland. Daly defeated Costantino Rocca (both were −6) in a playoff to secure his second major.
