One day before suffering multiple leg injuries in a single-car accident in Los Angeles — Tiger Woods was doing a photoshoot and providing golf lessons at Rolling Hills Country Club to a few celebrities, including retired NBA star Dwyane Wade and comedian David Spade.
Wade has since opened up about that meeting and how they bonded while talking about their families.
Wade appeared on “Inside the NBA” on Tuesday to discuss his day with Tiger.
“He taught me a few things,” Wade said … “Hopefully it will translate!”
“But to be out there with the G.O.A.T in my eyes in that sport and being able to talk to him about Sam and Charley [Tiger’s kids] and his father … It was a great day.”
Wade continued, “I woke up to the news [after taking a nap on Tuesday]. Just like everybody out there, my thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones because we all were shaken and shook at that moment, not knowing what happened with Tiger.”

“Just my prayers go out to him and hopefully a speedy recovery for him and hopefully he gets a chance to get back to doing what he loves to do and that’s playing the game of golf and I’m just thankful that he took the time to be able to teach me a few things about the game yesterday.”
Wade also posted a video to Instagram from the golf course with Woods chiming in from the background.
“So I told you I was about to do something amazing today,” Wade said. “And I got an opportunity…I say the GOAT. He’s not comfortable with it, but an opportunity to come out with this guy right here, man.
“Tiger thank you, for teaching me something. How good am I, or how bad am I?”

“We’re getting better,” Wade continued. “So everybody be on the lookout, I got some lessons today. I got some lessons from what I think is the GOAT, Tiger Woods. Thank you, brother, I appreciate it.”
