Amanda Balionis is back in the news this week, and it relates to an interview she had with Tiger Woods.
Balionis revealed she “lost a lot of sleep” before speaking to Tiger Woods during the early days of her reporting career.
When participating in a Q&A with Links Magazine, the 39-year-old CBS reporter was asked which “athlete or personality you’ve been the most nervous to interview.”
Amanda Balionis revealed her “legs were shaking uncontrollably from nervousness” as she sat down with Tiger Woods.
“Tiger Woods, for sure. When I started with PGATour.com, I think Tiger was my second-ever sit-down interview. I’m very thankful the camera angle was from the waist up; my legs were shaking uncontrollably from nervousness. I lost a lot of sleep before that interview,” Balionis said.
Woods is not as active these days as he used to be, but he continues to be a huge draw for fans. It’s not hard to see why, as he completely revolutionized the sport with 15 major wins and 82 PGA Tour victories.
It’s understandable why Amanda Balionis felt nervous speaking with him.

Amanda Balionis Still Hasn’t Addressed Her Marriage Or Rory McIlroy Rumors As She Moves On From Golf
Amanda Balionis has been quiet as kept amid major rumors that she was dating Rory McIlroy and that her marriage was falling apart after she stopped wearing her wedding ring and changed her name back.
Despite those rumors a few months ago, Balionis decided to include Rory McIlroy in her goodbye to golf montage on social media.
The CBS reporter said goodbye to golf while announcing she would be taking up a new role after reporting on her last golf event of the 2024 season.
Despite being recognized in golf, Amanda Balionis is set to become a fixture on the NFL sidelines in the coming weeks.
Alongside the montage, Balionis captioned the post: “This year had it all. From historic moments to heart-shattering events and every other emotion you can imagine in between. I love this game. I love working in sports. Competing at the highest level requires and produces constant examples of inspiration, drama, unbridled joy, resilience, growth, and teamwork.
“It’s an honor to be a very small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend. If we left you with one new favorite player, or one memorable moment you shared with loved ones than we have done our jobs. Catch ya on the NFL sidelines until next season!”
