Scottie Scheffler’s victory at the 2024 Masters tournament netted Barstool Sports founder and owner Dave Portnoy a lucrative seven-figure payout.
On Sunday, Scottie Scheffler cruised to his second Masters victory in three years by shooting an impressive -11 over the four-day tournament. Runner-up Ludvig Åberg shot -7, with Max Homa, Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa all finishing in a third-place tie at -4.
With the 27-year-old Scheffler emerging victorious at Augusta on Sunday, Portnoy took home a shiny $1.65 million payout.
Last week, Portnoy revealed on X/Twitter that he had placed a $300,000 wager through the DraftKings sportsbook on Scheffler to win the Masters for a $1.65 million payout. Scheffler was the odds-on favorite to win the tournament coming in.

Scottie Scheffler Joins Special Club
With his victory at Augusta on Sunday, Scheffler became just the 18th golfer to win multiple Masters tournaments. Jack Nicklaus leads the way with six, and Tiger Woods is right behind him with five green jackets.
At just 27 years of age, Scottie Scheffler has plenty of time to add to his rapidly growing legendary status. If he wins another Masters tournament, Scheffler will became the eighth golfer with at least three green jackets.
The No. 1 ranked golfer in the world finished in a tie for second at the 2022 U.S. Open and at the 2023 PGA Championship. With the way he’s been playing over these last two years, it’s only a matter of time until Scheffler adds more majors victories to his resume.
