Fans were not pleased to find out who the new host of the popular television game show “Wheel of Fortune” is going to be following Pat Sajak’s tenure as the man in charge, especially as it’s not Stephen A. Smith.
Sajak has been a staple on said show, having hosted it for 40 years. However, he has announced that he will be hanging it up at the culmination of the 41st season in 2024.
Fans weren’t thrilled with the news given that the show has only had two main hosts since its inception. They also weren’t thrilled to learn that American Idol host and producer Ryan Seacrest is the one who will succeed Sajak.
Sony Pictures Television has revealed that Seacrest has signed a multi-year agreement to host the show starting next year.
Seacrest has a wealth of experience, having worked on some of the biggest TV shows of the last several years. However, it appears people are of seeing him.

Seacrest should be well aware of how big a task this is.
“I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them,” he said in a statement
The 48-year-old is best known for hosting American Idol. He’s also co-hosted “Live with Kelly and Ryan” for six years and has a weekly syndicated radio show.
