A video of a luxury sports car “executed” in Qatar has gone viral on social media following the shocking destruction of the high-end automobile by authorities.
The owner of the sports car was caught speeding and driving recklessly before being made an example of as part of a campaign geared towards cracking down on reckless driving.
The clip, shared by Nexta TV and shown below, reveals the car being driven in a manner that definitely put lives at risk. It was then recorded getting crushed and disposed of by heavy machinery.
Although the legislation pertaining to such drastic punishment was not outlined in detail, it’s understood to be in line with Qatari laws, which give the police the power to take such drastic action over traffic violations that endanger lives.
Reports did not detail the exact model of the vehicle or give a specific date. But it does appear to be a high-end Toyota Supra.

Middle Eastern countries have always preferred highly publicized punishments for serious infringements to prevent would-be lawbreakers from committing various acts; the advent of social media has only amplified the reach.
Qatar, for one, takes a hard stance on road safety as road fatalities have been a serious concern given the attractive infrastructure.
It’s likely to get at least one person to think twice before putting the lives of others at risk with unnecessary reckless driving.
