If you’ve been on social media long enough around NFL fans, then you’ve likely seen the hilarious meme where a picture compares Troy Aikman to Jay Z.
Aikman is actually aware that the internet thinks he looks like JAY-Z. During a recent Pablo Torre Finds Out episode, the show’s host detailed his conversation with the Dallas Cowboys legendary quarterback.
Pablo stated he looks like “white JAY-Z.” After an initial pause to what was said, Aikman gave a stern “yes.”
Aikman was aware of a meme floating around that he said “looked nothing like him.”
“Yes. I am aware of that,” Aikman could be heard saying in the recorded audio. “White JAY-Z. There was a meme, it still pops up on my feed from time to time. It was some game, yeah — I don’t know what… I think this was before everything kinda went AI. But, [now] you don’t know what’s real and what’s not, so I don’t know if that was actually an unedited picture of me, but, pretty scary.”
As you are aware, both Jay-Z and Aikman are in no way related.

The comparisons seem to have first started on X/Twitter way back in 2017, but we are still unclear if the photo of Aikman was unedited as he stated.
During his time in the league, Aikman won three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys and was a perfect 3-0 in the big game. He went to Super Bowl XXVII, XXVIII and XXX and won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1992 and 1993 while adding another title in 1995.
No one knew this would be as good as it gets for the franchise for a very long time because Super Bowl XXX was Aikman’s final Super Bowl and was also the last time the Cowboys made the big game.
Aikman made six straight Pro Bowls and led the Cowboys to six division titles.
