In baseball, tee-ball and soft-ball, you normally either run or slightly jog your way to first base, depending on how close the race will be to the bag.
But if you have the excitement and creativity of this six-year-old girl tee-ball player in New Jersey, why not cartwheel to first base? The video below of her using the athletic move to first base after getting a hit on the “tee” has gone viral:
Take note, parents of kids who play tee-ball! This is certainly a cool way to help them practice their movement skills in any sport you sign them up for.
You’ll never see players in Major League Baseball get the time and opportunity to do a cartwheel like that towards first base. Every so often, though, you do get to see them make slick maneuvers to avoid tags…such as Chris Coghlan’s jaw-dropping Superman flip over Yadier Molina in 2017 game between the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals:
