Stephen A. Smith has shared his feelings on transgenders in sports following Donald Trump’s new executive order.
On Wednesday, the President put his signature on an order banning transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports, wasting very little time on the initiative following his return to office.
The ESPN analyst weighed in on the development on his ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show’ after Trump’s latest move.
“To set the record straight, regardless of how anybody feels, I agree with the president on this one,” he said. “I’m not apologizing for that to anybody.”
Smith added that he supports the LGBTQ+ community but disagrees with the Title IX law, which is supposed to protect women’s sports, being ignored when it comes to transgender athletes.
“But then the transgender issue came into play, and then all of a sudden, we forgot about that,” he continued.

Stephen A Smith Reckons Transgenders Have An Unfair Advantage
Stephen A Smith insisted that he supports any adult who chooses to transition from male to female but doesn’t think they should be allowed to compete against biological females in any sport, given that they would have a marked advantage.
“That’s unfair to the ladies who were born ladies,” Smith declared. “It’s not fair. That’s all I’m saying.”
Of course, not everyone agrees with Smith’s logic. His ESPN colleague Ari Chambers has branded the executive order “disgusting,” adding that it was “evil” of Trump to sign it on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
