During his second appearance, the 26-year-old was not only clean-shaven but also sporting a fresh haircut and shaped eyebrows.
People flocked to social media to try to figure out how he was able to get his brows and hair done in jail.
As we all know, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was tragically stalked and shot dead as he walked to a Manhattan hotel where the United States’ biggest medical insurer was holding an investor conference.
In a viral X (formerly Twitter) post, one person asked, “Did Luigi Mangione get his eyebrows done and a shape-up while he was in lockup???”

Luigi Mangione’s hair and eyebrows have become the newest craze involving the 26-year-old who’s facing some serious charges for allegedly shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Luigi was very publicly extradited from Pennsylvania to be placed in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, and social media couldn’t help but notice that he had gotten a haircut and his eyebrows cleaned up.
A woman with inside knowledge about prison life revealed what Luigi Mangione’s haircut says about his status while he is locked up.
“Luigi’s taper fade is a signal to the correctional officers not to beat him up,” Kristen revealed in her TikTok video. “It’s a signal to the correctional officers that the other inmates care about him and have his back.”
Kristen stated that her folks spent a lot of time in prison, and she spent quite a bit of time throughout her life around people in that environment.
She spoke about the way inmates treat each other, and the silent language passed between them.
Mangione’s groomed appearance was solely a message to correctional officers that he had other people supporting him.
