Haliey Welch is back in the news, but not for something she wants to be.
Welch, the viral influencer better known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” is facing backlash and threats of legal action after her crypto meme HAWK collapsed just hours after it was launched.
Welch has been raking in cash since rising to fame over the summer after she stated she spits on man’s penis during a raunchy interview on the streets of Nashville.
She tried to capitalize on her success further by launching the Solano-based meme coin to “connect with her fans,” but things went entirely wrong.
HAWK rocketed to an all-time high price of $0.0000428, taking it to a market cap of $500 million, and that happened within minutes.
HAWK took just about 24 hours to fall back to Earth. It crashed 88% to $60 million.
Haliey Welch is now being accused of orchestrating a ‘pump and dump’ scheme, and now things have gotten even worse for her.

A law firm recently posted on X encouraging anybody who lost money to consider legal action against Welch.
“If you lost money on $HAWK, contact our firm to learn about your legal rights. Our firm represents thousands of NFT and token investors in securities matters. This is attorney advertising.”
Haliey Welch Has Extended Her Fifteen Minutes of Fame for All the Wrong Reasons
Hailey Welch, also known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” has defied the laws of having fifteen minutes of fame because she refused to go away.
She made she stayed relevant with her constant moves around the country before she ultimately started a podcast that has become widely popular.
Now, the extended fifteen minutes of fame has gotten her into trouble.
The 22-year-old internet personality is now facing accusations of scamming investors.
Haliey Welch tried to capitalize on her viral fame by launching her own meme coin, but once it exploded, it soon faltered. She and her team are being accused of a “pump and dump” scheme, where coins are purchased at a low price, aggressively promoted to boost their value, and then sold off at a peak.
Now, her future seems bleak.
