Brazilian bodybuilder Matheus Pavlak, who had the internet in disbelief over his insane body transformation, is reportedly dead at the age of just 19.
The Daily Mail claims Pavlak was found dead at his residence on Sunday afternoon, with his former trainer, Lucas Chegatti, also confirming the unfortunate news.
Chegatti paid tribute to his former client in an Instagram post, claiming to have been proud of the teenager, whom he took care of as a son, lamenting a “bright future” cut short.
“I don’t have words to say the weight it has in my heart,” he wrote. “I was his first coach, and I’m very proud to have had the opportunity to take care of him as a son … I promised him that one day he would beat me and said and done, the first time we competed together against each other, he ended up winning.”
Matheus Pavlak started his bodybuilding journey five years ago in an effort to overcome childhood obesity. He was named Mr. Bluemenau after winning an Under-23 competition last year, also finishing fourth in a regional contest this May.
“No matter how difficult or impossible your dream is, if you really want it, you will get there,” he said when showing off his progress two years ago. “I have arrived.”
