Several videos of multiple people and sharks swimming through Hurricane Ian have been going viral over the past few hours.
The hurricane is currently listed as a “Category 4” hurricane. It has started to move towards southwest Florida with winds of up to 150 MPH, and several areas of the region have been hit with severe flooding.
Amid the dangerous conditions, several people in Florida decided to ignore the serious caution and go for a swim anyway.
Another video caught someone completely ignoring the high winds by taking part in a jet ski ride through the choppy waters.

That’s not all. Another viral video shows a shark swimming close to someone’s home in Fort Myers.
Via Newsweek, state officials have warned Florida residents that they’re “likely to see” snakes, alligators and bears amid Hurricane Ian.
The NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently scheduled to host the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium this Sunday. However, NFL Executive Vice President for Health & Safety Jeff Miller stated that if the game has to be relocated, they will move it to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Last year, the NFL had to relocate the New Orleans Saints-Green Bay Packers Week 1 game from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans to TIAA Bank Field (home of the Jacksonville Jaguars) because of Hurricane Idea.
U.S. Bank Stadium is home of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, who are traveling overseas to play the New Orleans Saints at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium venue in London, England on Sunday.
The National Hurricane Center is warning residents of Florida that the state’s peninsula will receive “Heavy rainfall” through Thursday. The NHC also stresses that “life-threatening catastrophic flooding” is anticipated to continue through central Florida.
