Mahomes led the NFL in both passing yards (5,250) and touchdowns (41) despite his top receiver from 2021, Tyreek Hill, being traded to the Dolphins ahead of the season. The Kansas City QB received 48 of 50 first-place votes to win the MVP award from this past season.
Despite trading Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, the Chiefs led the NFL as a team in yardage and points, averaging about 414 yards a game and 29.2 points each outing.
