A jockey was lucky to escape unharmed after taking a very nasty tumble when his race in Japan came to a frightening end.
62-year-old Shoichi Kawahara was aboard six-year-old mare Vintage Pearl when he suddenly went airborne crashed to the ground at the end of a race in Japan.
He also crossed the finish line before his horse.
Shoichi had made over 31,000 career starts and hit his 5,500th career win nearly a year ago.
