Things continue to go from bad to worse for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023.
After avoiding a 0-3 start to the season on Sunday, the team would get news about a warrant sent out for the arrest of cornerback J.C. Jackson.
Jackson, who played his first four NFL seasons with the New England Patriots, has been issued an arrest warrant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, for violating his probation.
He was supposed to appear in court for a probation violation hearing last Friday stemming from a 2021 arrest for criminal speeding.
The 27-year-old did not complete the “Brains At Risk” program he was ordered to take and also did not pay the $300 fine.

This development comes one day after Jackson was a healthy scratch by the Chargers as LA faced the Minnesota Vikings in a Week 3 game.
Chargers head coach Brandon Staley told reporters it was a “coach’s decision” and did not confirm whether Jackson would return to the lineup. He signed a five-year, $82.5 million contract with the Chargers in 2022.
In 2023, Jackson has appeared in two games for the Chargers and recorded three total tackles, one interception, and three pass deflections.
