A huge crisis was adverted, but it doesn’t explain the terrible behavior of adults that almost led to deadly consequences.
On Sunday, a large police presence could be seen at the Fieldhouse in Mansfield, Texas after a fight almost led to gunfire.
The below video shows parents, coaches, and young basketball players in a panic Sunday after someone reported that there was an active shooter in the area. However, police made it clear that no shots were fired.
Police stated officers responded to a fight and possible shots being fired at Fieldhouse USA Mansfield. Upon showing up, investigators found that a parent and a coach were asked to leave.
Once they got outside in the parking lot, one of them went to retrieve a gun from their vehicle.
Someone then yelled, “shots fired,” which led to everybody running away in the video. However, cops stated no shots were fired and nobody was injured in the process.

The contest was the Heart of Texas Showcase, a national tournament North Texas was hosting this weekend.
Officers were able to identify the coach and parent involved in the fight, but they haven’t announced if anyone is in custody.
You cannot blame people for being scared as we have seen all too often where young and older people are having their lives taken away from them by gun violence.
Police said all tournaments have been canceled.
