A video of the police raid that led to Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan being arrested in Romania has leaked online.
The controversial online influencer has been detained in said country as part of an investigation into rape and human trafficking. This much has been confirmed by a number of mainstream news sources.
Tate – a former kickboxer – gained notoriety after being removed from the British TV show Big Brother in 2016 due to a video in which he was seen assaulting a woman. He was also banned from Twitter after making some controversial comments including one where he claimed women should bear some of the responsibility for being sexually assaulted. Tate was allowed back on the social media platform following Elon Musk’s takeover.

While on ban, Tate became a favorite, especially among young males, for his flouting of an ultra-masculine and luxurious lifestyle, regularly appearing in videos enjoying private flights, and expensive holidays, also showing off an impressive fleet of sports cars.
The brothers, as well as two Romanian nationals, had been under investigation since April.

“The four suspects… appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialised websites for a cost, “Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) said in a statement (per the BBC).
Romanian Authorities Want Tate Detained For A Month
A DIICOT spokesperson has also said that prosecutors have applied to hold Tate at a detention center for a further 30 days, with a judge set to rule on their application this Friday.
A spokesperson for Tate would not give details on the arrest but said the brothers have the “utmost respect for the Romanian authorities” and will assist with the investigation in any way they can.
