The recent 49th annual charity hockey game ended in multiple fights between servicemen, with New York’s firefighters taking on the New York Police Department on the ice and embarrassing them on two fronts.
With the NHL playoffs approaching, members of the NYPD and FDNY had a game of their own in what has become known as a total warzone. The Fire Department owns the bragging rights, boasting a 27-18-3 record against NY’s finest.
The cops had hoped to inch closer in the head-to-head but lost 8-5, also losing when the gloves came off and fights were initiated. As the game headed toward a close, firefighter John Peretta squared up with policeman James Hall and absolutely clobbered him, knocking the lawman to the ice before hitting him with a flurry of punches while he was down.
The officer got himself knocked out cold before the referees had time to intervene.
Another fight broke out shortly after, with the firefighters showing the cops up again.

This is a pretty bad look for the NYPD. Cops getting beaten up by firemen is simply not what the city of New York needs to see. The other way around would have been way more acceptable.
