Donald Trump has made it clear where his administration stands on transgender athletes as he announced his policy on the matter over the weekend.
Trump is headed back into office after beating Kamala Harris at the polls and has let the country know that he will be stirring things up in the trans community. The United States President-elect made a speech at the Turning Point USA conference in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday, where he declared he would bring an end to “transgender lunacy.”
As things stand, most states decide their policy on transgenders in sports. However, Trump is looking to place a ban on transgenders in sports and the military across the board as soon as he gets into office.
“With the stroke of my pen on day one, we’re going to stop the transgender lunacy,” he declared.
“I will sign executive orders to end child sexual mutilation, get transgender out of the military and out of our elementary schools and middle schools and high schools.

University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas has been one of the main topics, having competed for the men’s team before switching to the women’s and absolutely dominating.
It appears Donald Trump is looking to ensure nothing like this happens under his watch.
