Now this is how you handle an unruly fan.
Colombian cyclist Miguel Angel Lopez was in a foul mood during the penultimate stage of the Giro d’Italia on Saturday when a fan suddenly knocked him off of his bike.
The fan was running alongside Lopez in encouragement when he collided with another spectator and fell onto the cyclist.
Lopez responded by slapping him and then knocking his cap off of his head.
After thinking about it, Lopez would later apologize for slapping the fan.

“I’m sorry for what happened; I was full of pure adrenaline. But there needs to be more respect for the cyclists,” he said.
Lopez finished the stage in 18th place.
