Fans witnessed one of the most controversial boxing matches of the year between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney, where Garcia claimed victory. However, it was later discovered that Garcia had used performance-enhancing drugs. After the accusations, Devin Haney’s father, Bill Haney, took immediate action to restore his son’s reputation. Additionally, Devin Haney filed a lawsuit against Garcia, seeking damages for battery, fraud, and breach of contract related to their fight. Recently, Bill Haney has indicated interest in a rematch with Ryan Garcia.
Haney’s father appears more confident this time in calling out Garcia for a rematch. However, Bill Haney insists that Garcia must enroll in drug testing within 48 hours for the rematch to take place. On X, he wrote:
“We don’t duck fights or lawsuits. @RyanGarcia, you got 48 hours to enroll in VADA for the rematch. Clean competition, real standards. We’re always ready—are you? @Realdevinhaney stays focused, lawsuit or not.”
Garcia has yet to respond to Bill Haney’s demands for immediate enrollment in VADA. However, there is a strong possibility that Garcia will accept the challenge, as he has previously stated his willingness to go for a rematch with Haney after his suspension. Additionally, Garcia has responded to Haney’s lawsuit, claiming that there is no merit to it.
