Pokemon is one of the most popular franchises of the last few decades. They have created some of the most iconic games and TV shows the world has ever seen, and there is no doubt that they will continue their reign.
The franchise’s most significant and lucrative decision was to create what the world now knows as Pokemon cards and the Pokemon Trading Card Game. Since its creation, it has taken the world by storm.
In 2023 alone, Pokemon hit record sales in terms of their card sales, hitting a solid $857 million in just the Trading Card Game alone. There is still a market for the ever-expanding and popular Pokemon cards.
The franchise cards are now so popular that people are fighting over acquiring them, and of course, it’s going viral. The cards these people are fighting for are being auctioned off for over $400 on eBay, which is insane.
Pokemon Cards Are Now Causing Fights
A ton of Costco members brawled in the viral YouTube video over some newer-edition cards. The cards are known as Prismatic Evolutions ETBs, and they are worth losing their Costco memberships over. They can all be seen knocking over entire TVs to get the cards. It’s absolutely wild.
In the comments, some fans of the Pokemon Trading Card are alleging that either one or both of these guys are scammers, and the unfortunate issue is that these comments may be accurate. Fans are constantly complaining about how these scalpers are inflating prices.

After everything is said and done, the fact that people are scalping Pokemon is an unfortunate thing to think about. And even just seeing the lengths some people will go for cards is mind-blowing. Whatever the case may be, it’s a net positive for Pokemon.
