EA Sports has announced some major upcoming changes for Madden 24’s Franchise Mode, including some which have been brought back from previous years, such as Training Camp.
The publishers had teased significant changes to the video game amid complaints from fans, and they will hope this new announcement will trigger some excitement as the launch of the latest iteration of the series approaches.
Franchise Mode players will have six trade slots in Madden 24, as opposed to three, and will also have an extra year of draft picks. EA does admit the change isn’t completely realistic but it does offer fans a better experience.
Users will likely appreciate that they will also be able to trade picks from this year and the next instead of just one.
The game also promises a better trading experience when it comes to the offering and accepting of trades.
Players will have the option of turning automatic depth reordering on and off as well. Leaving it on will see analytics choose the correct depth chart but they can be manually changed if it is kept off.

Another cool feature comes in the form of the ability to edit the strength or weakness of a draft class. The adjustment would have to be made before Week 1 of the regular season.
Other perks include offensive and defensive limits decoupling, a snake draft order, and the option of relocating one’s franchise to one of 15 new cities. Team names used to be fixed to cities but that will not be the case in Madden 24 as any team name can be used for anywhere, except The Oilers for Houston.
