Elon Musk found out he’s not that popular in the gaming community after attending an Esports event on the weekend.
The new Twitter owner pulled up to Riot Game’s Valorant Champions 2023 finals between Evil Geniuses and Paper Rex and fans did not seem to be pleased when they learned he was in attendance. Over one million people tuned into the stream while another 11,000 piled into the arena to watch live.
Announcers acknowledged Musk after the cameras panned to him and the fans in the arena began booing, much to the feigned surprise of one of the commentators.
“Where’s that coming from?” one of them asked. “That can’t be from in here, surely.”
“Is that a bigger reaction than [professional Valorant player] tenZ got?” another asked.
Fans didn’t let up after the cameras went back to the game. They began chanting “Bring Back Twitter!” after being told the focus was back on the game. Check it out below:

It appears folks are not happy with the many changes Musk has made to Twitter since buying it for $44 million. Hell, it’s not even called Twitter anymore; it’s been renamed “X.”
Apart from the rebranding, the billionaire has also changed algorithms, monetized subscriptions, and removed security features.
The people just want the bird back.
