Outrageous rumors have swirled online ever since the viral “Hawk Tuah” girl rocked social media with her statement.
Haliey Welch, known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” said she would “spit on that thing” to please her man, and she became an overnight sensation.
Whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, you will have seen a meme, GIF, or short video of her saying, “You gotta spit on that thang.”
She became so viral that people started putting out insane claims about her.
Somebody spread a rumor that she was a preschool teacher who lost her job because of the viral video.

Despite this making the rounds online, this claim is not true.
The original claim that she worked for a preschool came from Carla Reed, the Director of Epstein Day School, who released a statement addressing the incident. “We have kids spitting on each other and everything else since they heard their beloved Miss Haliey Welch say ‘spit on that thang’ on YouTube. They really look up to her as a role model and imitate the things that she does.
“We love Hailey, but unfortunately, we cannot allow this type of behavior from one of our very own faculty members.” The post even had a response from ‘Hailey’ stating: “What I said during that interview was based on my own personal thoughts. I was giving good advice to those who might want to have a little fun. I have the right to share my life experiences if I choose to do so. It has nothing to do with the kind of teacher I am for my kids. It is outright discrimination, and I plan to seek retribution against the preschool.”
That post has over 38,000 shares, and many people failed to read that the Tippah County Tribune is a self-proclaimed satire site that made the entire thing up.
In the midst of that false news was popular Twitter user Matt Wallace claiming that Hailey Welsh is much more than a young woman saying something sexual, she is actually “another victim of the CIA planted culture of sleeping with countless men and substance abuse normalization” as a means of population control.
He added that the Hawk Tuah girl was forced to delete her accounts for insane reasons that he mapped out below:
‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ Haliey Welch Allegedly Signs With Hollywood Agency And Merchandise Deal
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Hailey Welch had been talking with UTA, arguably Tinseltown’s most powerful firm, and signed a deal with them.
It turns out that it actually wasn’t true.
A rep for UTS told Page Six that is “untrue.”
While she’s not in with Hollywood, she did, however, get a merchandise deal with the Tennessee-based hat company Fathead Threads.
They will be selling shirts, hats, and other merchandise with her phrase of the summer front and center.
