After a loss to Jake Paul, Nate Diaz returned to the boxing ring a year later to face former foe Jorge Masvidal. The results were in his favor this time as he pulled off a win via the majority decision. Subsequently, after the win, in typical Diaz style, he called out Paul for a fight. Replying to the former UFC fighter, the YouTuber and boxer accused him of avoiding the $15 million PFL fight.
For those who don’t know, after the boxing fight against Diaz, Paul, who was reportedly speculated to make his MMA debut, was seen fighting the ‘Stockton Slugger.’ However, that fight didn’t come to fruition. Now that Diaz has once again called him out for the fight, Paul was quick to remind him that he allegedly dodged the $15 million fight.
On X he wrote, “Fu*k you Nate Diaz you’re a h* who ducked my PFL $15m MMA offer. Masvidal trash too smh.”
There is no doubt that Paul has made a solid name for himself in combat sports, completely transitioning from YouTube. Given that he has defeated some big MMA fighters, from Anderson Silva to Nate Diaz (in the boxing realm), it will be really interesting to see how he fares in the MMA world.
So, will Diaz fight against him? It is a question that only time will answer. For now, he has another name in his mind.
Nate Diaz Eyes to Fight Leon Edwards
After settling the score for his BMF title bout against Masvidal, Diaz is now eyeing another rematch. He is targeting a title shot against current welterweight champion Leon Edwards in his return to the Octagon.

He stated, “I would like to get a win against Leon Edwards, who is the best fighter in the world right now at 170 and I think that’s something that I can take and put in a credential box. That’s what I’m going for. I’m not trying to go for any fun fights because that s**t ain’t fun.”
Indeed, there is no doubt that Edwards vs. Diaz could be an iconic match that fans remember, especially considering Diaz’s bravado and Edwards’ class. With Diaz now calling out Edwards again, seeing how UFC president Dana White reacts will be interesting.
