When Teofimo Lopez defends the WBO and Ring super 140-pound titles against Steve Claggett, he hopes to build on his recent success and make a run at super lightweight.
Lopez is scheduled to make a quick comeback. On June 29, the 26-year-old and Steve Claggett will square off. The James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida, will host the bout with the WBO super lightweight belt as the prize.
The fight will occur at 10 p.m. ET (12 a.m. ET for the main event), 3 a.m. BST on Sunday, and 12:00 p.m. AEST on Sunday.
The fight will be covered by ESPN+ in the U.S., TSN+ for Boxing fans in Canada, Sky Sports in the UK, and Kayo in Australia.

Lopez (20-1) defeated Vasiliy Lomachenko in 2020 to become the former undisputed lightweight champion. After losing the titles to George Kambosos Jr. a year later, “The Takeover” changed weight classes and has since won four times in a row. He defeated Josh Taylor in the super lightweight division to win his final belts. Lopez wants to start 2024 with a 2-0 record.
Former NABF super lightweight champion Claggett (38-7-2) has won nine straight fights since 2021. For the first time, the 34-year-old Canadian is vying for the world title gold. According to the WBO, he is ranked thirteenth.
