Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou cold during their fight last night.
The two entered the squared circle in a highly anticipated fight in Riyadh. Coming off an impressive performance against Tyson Fury, many believed that Ngannou could potentially get the better of Joshua, considering the fact that ‘AJ’ has been dropped in the past.
However, that wasn’t the case at all. In what was just his second fight in the boxing ring, Francis Ngannou had a short night out. Anthony Joshua was on the front foot from the start and secured two knockdowns before landing a perfectly placed right hand that sent ‘The Predator’ crashing onto the canvas.
This was arguably one of the most brutal knockouts in the sport of boxing recently and it was quick to go viral on the internet. That said, let’s take a look at some angles of the brutal knockout secured by Anthony Joshua below:

Interestingly, while the knockout looked brutal, Francis Ngannou later claimed that he did not feel the punch. While speaking about the fight during the post-fight press conference, Ngannou applauded Joshua for securing the victory and hailed him as “special”. He said::
“[Anthony Joshua] was quite special because he stopped me. He did what Tyson Fury couldn’t. It wasn’t my day and he was just way better than me today. So yeah, it sucks but it’s the game. We all know that… I didn’t feel the punch. I think that’s what a knockout is about. I don’t feel any pain. That’s how I know I was knocked out.”

Anthony Joshua reflects on his performance against Francis Ngannou
Following an impressive performance against Francis Ngannou, Anthony Joshua reflected on his performance. Joshua spoke about how it takes just one shot in the heavyweight division and further opined on his future inside the ring, he said (H/T Sky Sports):
“This is the thing with boxing, it only takes one shot in the heavyweight division. You should always keep searching for better. For me, I don’t know if I’m coming to my peak, I’m pushing day by day. Who knows where it will take me? Imagine in five years I won’t be fighting anymore, this will all be said and done, so I’m trying to make the most of it.”
That said, Anthony Joshua will most probably take on the winner of the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury fight which is scheduled for May this year and it will be interesting to see if he can secure the world championship again.
