After the dust settled on Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry boxing match, a lot of criticism was put to rest. However, new controversies arose as the fight ended. UFC veteran Michael Bisping isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to Jake Paul’s latest boxing victory. The former middleweight champion had some choice words for “The Problem Child.”
Paul faced off against Mike Perry in a cruiserweight bout last weekend. The YouTube star-turned-boxer emerged victorious, stopping Perry in the sixth round. But Bisping wasn’t impressed.
“Anyone in that top 10, they would smoke him, they would deal him a devastating knockout, they would land crushing blows, and he would be sh*tting his pants in there. I still don’t have respect because that was pure bully-boy tactics. The size difference was remarkable.” Bisping stated on his YouTube channel.
The size difference between the two fighters was hard to ignore. Mike Perry, a former welterweight, looked significantly smaller in the ring. The outspoken Brit suggested that Paul should face opponents his own size. He believes any top-10 boxer in Paul’s weight class would beat him with ease.
Bisping’s criticism is one that is shared by many in the combat sports community. This, however, is not false as ‘The Problem Child’ has not fought an active boxer, except Tommy Fury (to whom he lost) in his career. He has faced retired MMA fighters, YouTubers, and semi-retired boxers. His next bout with Mike Tyson faces the same criticism. Fight fans would have to see whether Paul fights an active mid to high-level boxer and finally get validation from the combat sports community.

McGregor accused the YouTuber-turned-boxer of being a “weight bully,” a sentiment shared by many, including Michael Bisping. But he had a lot more to say than that.
”Jake Paul is the biggest p***bag I have ever seen in my life. 40-pound weight difference, juiced out of his head, and still sh****ng himself in there … B***h a***s. You could never. And then calling out 60year old Mike Tyson fresh off an in flight medical emergency? I swear to god, a fat can of b***h p**s. Most valuable p***bag,” stated McGregor via X.
McGregor’s colorful language painted a vivid picture of his disdain for Paul. Like Bisping, McGregor’s main gripe seemed to be the size difference between Paul and Perry. This isn’t the first time McGregor has voiced his opinion on boxing matches. But this rant seemed particularly passionate and pointed. As for Paul, he has yet to respond to McGregor’s tirade. But given his history of social media spats, a reply seems likely.
